Resting Among the Chicory

Fewer and fewer opportunities to paint equipment on a small farm.   Dinosaurs of a sort.

Seaweed and Salt Air

Top of the cliff at the Little Compton Town Lot.    The clouds rolled in ahead of some weather.  The colors changed constantly so it was a mad chase.  A heady way to spend a Monday morning.

Fort Hill, Eastham, MA

Nantucket Sound from Fort Hill in Eastham, MA.   I've been standing in the same exact spot when the fog was so thick I could barely see my feet...and then there's this where you can see forever.

Coast Guard Station from Fort Hill in Eastham, MA  The big open views in every direction from Fort Hill changes constantly, day-to-day and moment-to-moment.

Man with a Hat

A musician sat for our group today and kindly brought his guitar and held it the whole time.  I was too interested in painting his head, but it would have been fun to get more of the figure and include the guitar.    This was the last group portrait session at Dryden Gallery for the summer.  Time to get outdoors and paint landscapes.
